We're going to the zoo!!!!
The zoo field trip is FINALLY here!! We are so excited! This will be a great opportunity for us to make observations, create some shared experiences, and to see some of the amazing rainforest animals we've been learning about! All kindergarteners need to be at school at 8:45. The bus will be leaving at 9:00 exactly, so late students may be left at school! Your child will need to pack a disposable luch for the day. NO REUSABLE ICE PACKS OR CUTE LUNCH BOXES PLEASE! We will be throwing away or recycling everything we bring. Thank you for helping lighten our backpacks!
We are HOPING for sun. If it is sunny, please put sunscreen on your child before sending them to school. If it is rainy, we are lucky that the zoo is used to rainy days and has lots of covers and inside areas. We will not need umbrellas. They are difficult to have umbrellas that many going up and down and not have problems with while we are walking around the zoo. Please send your child in shoes that will be comfortable for lots of walking.
Students should NOT bring money on the field trip. (Chaperones are also asked not to purchase anything at the zoo until the school bus has left to come home.)
If you signed up to be a chaperone, there will be a pink chaperone sheet in your child's backpack today with extra info.
